Dog Mommy

Whoa! It's been more than a month since my last post!

My life has been taken over by being a dog mom. I have a few dog parent friends but also have a friend that is not a dog / pet person that don't care to hear the different stories I have to share about my bubs.

We began crate training him when we would leave the house out of fear of our carpet. It was just so sad leaving him in "jail" though. Getting him to go inside the crate was easy, but hearing him cry, bark, and try to claw / chew his way out as soon as the door closed was the worst! One day we had a serious talk and decided to start seriously house training him. We both let him out before we leave the house, but we quickly realized that if he doesn't poop outside, he'll poop in the house; we put him in the kennel if he doesn't poop. We never really had a problem with pee inside the house. Bubs was doing GREAT, but he did have a mishap with the front window blinds.
A month had passed and we agreed to dog-sit my bf's sister's dog. The little guy is totally house trained at their house, but we were scared that he would try to mark his territory inside our house aka pee war inside our home. We had the little guy for 2 weeks but our fears became a reality. Bubs was home alone for the first time yesterday and peed in an area that our guest had marked. I'm hoping that we won't have to keep on dealing with this, but I am a little at ease with the thought of Bubs staying at their house.. he has marked areas of their house before and I feel like we're even now.
Though the house became a dog toilet, we did have a lot of fun meeting friends for doggy dates and taking nice walks on the beach.
