The event was located on the roof of the Wag Hotel which was covered in faux grass. We paid $10 for a ticket PLUS 5 raffle tickets and a coupon for 1 day play that is a value of $40 right there! We checked out all the booths upon arrival; there weren't very many so we got through them fast.. the raffles, dog tattoos, treats, and info on the Wag Hotel. There were also 3 vendors: some sorta vita water for dogs, flower collars, and Dapper Dogs by my friend Sarah; she sells home made dog jackets and bow ties. After checking out the booths we headed over to the games.. you get a prize no matter what and Bubs got a free Ghost Dog toy. Stefanie and I enjoyed some crackers, dip, veggies, and oreos while we chatted in the sun. After a while, a bunch of the bullie dogs decided they wanted to go bobbing for apples inside the bone shaped dog swimming pool. It was so cute!
They presented the awards to dog volunteers and also had a dog costume contest where this French Bulldog Dressed like a taco won. Bay and Bubs did participate even though they weren't in costume. Bubs pranced across the floor and Bay showed his discipline by listening to Stef's sit command.
We ended up winning two raffles for costumes so Bubs can chill out in his new Hawaiian shirt and lei as well as be a First Responder / Fireman on a whim.
I really want to go to the Halloween party that's coming up next month.
