Bubs has been using Frontline Plus flea medicine; it's what the BF's sister used and it is easily available for us to buy from Costco.
I know that Bubs always bites his paws, but ever since we moved into the house he's been scratching A LOT and biting himself especially on his belly. I thought it might have been allergies because his skin looked a little pink / inflamed. I bath him once a month and I wipe him down with baby wipes to sooth his skin between baths, but the irritation never completely went away.
The BF and I started getting small bites on our legs. Bubs doesn't sleep in our bed, but he does sleep in our bedroom in his own bed next to ours. We're 98% positive we don't have flea bites and think they are SPIDER bites! I did find a few brown spiders on the carpet under the bed and vacuumed them up, but they keep coming back. I'm beginning to think they're hitching a ride on Bubs!
Last week, Bubs had been scratching more than usual and often and then I found my right hand had 5 bites on it as well as one on my wrist and eyebrow. My hand got swollen and the pain, burning, and itchiness woke me up at 3am one morning. Bubs woke up also and was scratching and we both couldn't go back to sleep for a while... I vacuumed under the bed, but this time I didn't find any spiders or any other bugs for that matter. I was miserable as my fingers were so swollen and any accidental contact at the bite locations was very painful. I took to pinterest and made a "anti-spider" concoction, thoroughly cleaned the house, and gave Bubs his bath. I also decided that I'm going to try using NexGuard instead of Frontline.
